Focus

This is the age of “multi-tasking”, how I hate that word. It really means doing more things at once than you can handle effectively.

In spite of our new modern brains (ha ha), if you do more than one thing at a time, you are not doing it to the best of your ability. Please don’t send E-mail quoting me some statistic proving me wrong. I will just send you another one proving I’m right.

I’m not talking about having more than one program open at a time on your computer. This can be more efficient, because you switch back and forth. But if your talking on the phone, listening to someone else, eating a bagel, and reading the paper; please stop and smell a rose.

Note: some people do this while “concentrating on their driving” (big giggle)

As everyone knows I encourage getting Off Your Duff and doing something. But I now invoke a quote, which makes me cringe, and dates me severely. “Anything worth doing is worth doing well”. Old but still **True**.

Focus on one task at time (as much as possible today), you will notice that old overwhelmed feeling going away, and your quality and production improving.

If your driving put the cell phone down. The rest of us thank you.
