The basics of setting a goal is an open secret known by all types of achievers in all the different fields. The basics of setting goals give you short-term and long-term motivation and focus.
Setting clearly defined short term and long term goals will enable you to measure your progress and achieve personal satisfaction once you have successfully met your goals. Charting your progress will also enable you to actually see the stages of completion leading to the actual realization of your goals. This helps eliminate a feeling having a long and pointless grind towards achieving your goal.

Perspective
Life is all about perspective. Why are some people in the worst situations happy, and some in the best not? I certainly don’t have all the answers. Off Your Duff is rededicating itself to the truth “Never take yourself too seriously”.
I hope this re-statement will put me back on track, and cut down on my E-mail asking me why I was depressed
. In case your wondering my car has broken down, again, so I am writing this while I am waiting for a tow. Have to justify the cost of the laptop somehow.
